Our client based in Wickford, Essex is looking for a Warehouse Goods In/ Goods Out Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of going permanent for the right candidate.
The hours of work for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday- Friday
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Locating, picking and packing stock
- Palletising and labelling goods ready for dispatch
- Handballing (loading/ unloading goods)
- checking receipt of deliveries against all relevant paperwork
- Stock replenishment
- Identifying and reporting incorrect deliveries and damages
- Other ad-hoc warehouse duties/ potentially helping out in other departments within the warehouse
- Warehouse maintenance (ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy)
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
Knowledge and skills required for this role:
- Forklift license is advantageous but not essential
- Full driving license is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to use a pump truck
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Knowledge of health and safety warehouse procedures
- Good work ethic, with a solid work history
- Good communication skills
- To be punctual with good time management skills
