Our client based in Wickford, Essex is looking for a Warehouse Goods In/ Goods Out Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of going permanent for the right candidate.

The hours of work for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday- Friday

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Locating, picking and packing stock
  • Palletising and labelling goods ready for dispatch
  • Handballing (loading/ unloading goods)
  • checking receipt of deliveries against all relevant paperwork
  • Stock replenishment
  • Identifying and reporting incorrect deliveries and damages
  • Other ad-hoc warehouse duties/ potentially helping out in other departments within the warehouse
  • Warehouse maintenance (ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy)
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

Knowledge and skills required for this role:

  • Forklift license is advantageous but not essential
  • Full driving license is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to use a pump truck
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Knowledge of health and safety warehouse procedures
  • Good work ethic, with a solid work history
  • Good communication skills
  • To be punctual with good time management skills
