- Plan and carry out audit assignments to a wide variety of clients
- Ensure the audit team are on track and completing audit work within the allocated timetable
- Communicate to the clients on a regular basis on the progress of the audit and meet with them to discuss audit related matters
- Advice clients on areas of business improvements
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge in all areas
- Accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Along with being responsible for discussing the results with the clients either in person or over the phone.
- Involvement in statutory audits, including being involved in planning the audit, leading the audit fieldwork and completion of files for manager review.
- Suitable candidates will be fully ACCA/ACA qualified – ideally
- Experience carrying out audits - from planning through to completion
- Previous experience working in accountancy practice environments is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Driving license required in order to travel to clients' premises
- Preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
- Preparation and review of VAT returns.
