We are seeking a talented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and proficiency in various design software. The Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

This role is 100% site based.

Duties

  • Design of electro-mechanical components, both from first principles and as product development
  • Develop detailed designs and specifications using CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
  • Create and interpret schematics for complex systems.
  • Use of FEA from first principles
  • Design systems that integrate logic controllers and other components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes and modifications.

Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
  • Experience of FEA from basics.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and circuit design.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in system design principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply it in practical scenarios.
