Acorn by Synergie are proud to be recruiting for Delivery Drivers on a temp to perm basis for their client located in Widnes

Hours of work are 4am-1pm, 5 days out of 6 - flexibility is needed on this. Total of 45 hours per week

The rate of pay starts at £12.52 per hour

A day in the life of the role would include early morning starts from 4am, where you will arrive to a fully loaded vehicle (however support to load may be required from time to time) at the Widnes depot before starting work to be the face of the company and complete multi drop deliveries to many valued customers. Before returning to your depot and supporting the vehicle to be cleaned and prepared ready for the next day.

Responsibilities will include
  • Taking care of customers orders, from loading onto your van to ensuring the safe delivery of customer's orders as if they were your own.
  • Representing the company whilst on the road, driving safely, responsibly and within the law.
  • Looking after your vehicle, like it's your first car - including safety checks and cleanliness.
  • Report any issues with delays or shortages straight away.
  • Working to company values, - supporting other drivers and warehouse teammates as needed.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a friendly and personable nature, with a passion for great service and making customers happy

Confident driver: You'll have a current valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points

Experience: Previous 7.5T van driving experience is a must, with the current qualification to be able to drive this type of vehicle

Relationship Builder: A positive work ethic and thrive as a part of a team.

Resilient: Things don't always go to plan, so remaining calm under pressure is important.

Communicator: Using your excellent communications skills, you'll be able to build rapport and establish great relationships with customers and colleagues.

Willing to learn: To begin with, your ability to follow instructions will be important. You will receive full training, so being open and willing to learn will be a big help.

Hands on: There is some heavy lifting and manual handling as part of this physical role

Flexible: You will need to be flexible with your working hours, including working some Saturdays
