People Solutions are looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver for our client based in Widnes.

Day to Day Duties

• Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Collecting Waste: The driver is responsible for safely collecting various types of waste, such as animal remains, bones, blood, offal, and other by-products.
• Loading and Unloading: drivers must assist with or oversee the loading and unloading of these materials, ensuring the waste is handled in accordance with health and safety protocols
• Documentation: Recording details of each collection

Essential Skills

• At least 12 months of experience as a Class 2 Driver
• Must hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than six points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99)
• No major endorsements
• Driver must be physically fit with the ability to work in challenging conditions

Desirable Experience

• The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment or will not easily deterred by the nature of the work

Training

• A full 1-2 weeks of training will be provided shadowing an experienced driver
