Head of Sales - Discounters£70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus Hybrid (2 days a week in North-West HQ) Our client are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Sales to develop and execute the Channel strategy for the UK Retail division of their growing business.

This role is crucial in shaping and executing our sales strategy, maximising revenue growth, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all our retail channels. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in winning new Retail business across Grocers, Discounters, Health & Beauty and Convenience channels.

Main Purpose of therole:

  •  Develop and implement a comprehensive retail sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and ambitious goals.
  •  Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Gain new listings, agreeing and managing JBPs and Retailer relationships
  • Full P&L ownership of Retail Channel

 Lead our sales department and drive the overall sales strategy to maximise revenue growth. Responsible for Sales and GP targets, overseeing sales operations at Xpel. Leading and coaching a team of 3 direct reports. The candidate will also manage our large discount accounts and will be fully responsible for the growth of the channel.

Must have discounter experience, dealing with Home Bargains, Poundland, Savers, B&M etc….

Main Responsibilities Sales strategy and leadership: lead strategy aligned with the wider business objectives Set targets / budgets for the business and direct reports Analise trends and identify customer opportunities# Team management and Development Learn, mentor and inspire the sales team Train and develop a high performing sales team. Regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching Encourage continuous learning and development to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Customer relationship management Cross functional collaboration across all departments Regular trade visits Attending meetings (were applicable) with sales team Manage all aspects of: Budgeting, Forecasting, objectives, etc…. Stock management Set and achieve sales targets Monitor sales performance Build and maintain customer relationships Optimise sales processes and tools Provide regular sales reports

Experience Min 5 years in the discount arena, well networked and understands private label, tertiary and branded products.
