National Account Manager Job - Widnes

You’ll be working closely with major retailers and household names, taking ownership of your product category and driving growth. You’ll also be hands-on with new product development—working alongside product teams to bring new ranges to life, and ensuring commercial targets are met.
The Role
As National Account Manager, your focus will be on introducing and growing your product category across key grocery and retail accounts—many of which you’ll already be familiar with. You’ll also manage ongoing projects and nurture existing relationships.
Key responsibilities include:

Working independently within an established sales strategy to deliver account-specific targets

Developing and executing customer-specific sales plans, ensuring commercial accuracy across costings, specs, packaging, and RRP

Understanding customer KPIs and working proactively to meet and exceed them

Delivering against value, gross margin, and volume targets

Managing and coordinating project milestones and timelines

Leading implementation plans with both internal and external stakeholders

Overseeing a large SKU portfolio (200+ SKUs), including management of cost price agreements
What You’ll Bring

Strong track record in National Account Management within FMCG

Experience working with major discount retailers such as B&M, Poundland, and Home Bargains

Solid understanding of the NPD cycle and working with product development teams

Confident handling high-volume, high-pace product portfolios
