National Account Executive in Widnes (Product Industry)

We’re working with a commercially driven, trend-led product business that’s making waves in its sector. They're now looking to bring in a National Account Executive—someone with solid experience in account management or field sales, ready to take a hands-on role with customer relationships, product development, and category growth.

This is a great opportunity to work across key retail accounts, drive NPD forward, and own your patch. You’ll be out meeting customers, introducing new products, and managing projects from initial concept right through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep a close eye on the market, track consumer and product trends, and regularly visit customer stores

  • Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark performance and identify key differentiators

  • Oversee the full product development cycle—brand, design, sourcing, and supplier relations

  • Manage a Product Assistant, delegate work effectively, and provide ongoing support

  • Take ownership of product critical paths and ensure clear, timely communication at every stage

  • Write detailed product briefs and liaise confidently with global suppliers

  • Coordinate samples, pricing, and sales presentations, attending meetings and pitching to clients

  • Review supplier quotes to ensure commercial competitiveness

About You:

  • Previous experience in account management, field sales, or territory sales within a physical product business

  • Full UK driving licence and happy to travel regularly to see customers face-to-face

  • Commercially minded with a strong interest in trends and product innovation

  • Proactive, organised, and confident working across multiple projects simultaneously
