Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for information governance and regulatory compliance across the organisation, ensuring legal and statutory obligations are met.
- Data Protection: As the charitys Data Protection Officer (DPO), you will oversee GDPR compliance, liaising with external bodies and ensuring robust data protection policies are in place.
- Risk Management: Lead efforts to manage organisational risk, including health and safety, information governance, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring continuous improvement in quality and compliance.
- External Relations: Act as a brand ambassador and maintain relationships with key regulatory bodies, representing the charity at local, regional, and national levels.
- Transformation & Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in governance, implementing systems and processes that support high performance and mitigate risk across the organisation.
- Proven experience in developing governance, risk management, and information strategies in complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, information security, and regulatory requirements in social care.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and motivate teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
- Certification in governance, information management, or relevant qualifications (e.g., CISSP or C-DPO) is highly desirable.
