Robert Half is partnering with a fast growing and pioneering company in its search for a Finance Manager. Based in Widnes, this is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and impactful business, you will be stepping into a brand-new role with autonomy to help shape the UK finance function.

You will be a pro-active, energetic and experienced finance manager who can independently take control of the day-to-day management of the financial controls;

Role Profile:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records across all transactions
  • Conduct financial data entry and ensure the accuracy of all records
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and efficient operations
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring the efficient operation of the company's finances
  • Handle the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Oversee the accurate preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely payments.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment of financial records.
  • Manage VAT refunds and filings in compliance with UK tax regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support the company's strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and prepare variance reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support the audit process by providing required documentation and explanations to external auditors

Candidate Profile:

  • You will demonstrate a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified
  • Must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen, confident communicator at all levels
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of purchase order processing and vendor management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally you will have experience of managing international entities
  • Previous ERP experience desirable
