We’re looking for a Time-Served Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team in Widnes. If you're proactive, self-motivated, and ready to tackle both team projects and independent tasks, this could be the role for you!

Salary: £41,181 (includes a £3,500 shift premium) Shifts: 6-2 / 2-10 double-day pattern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment like pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Fabricate and weld parts for plant equipment (strong welding skills are a big plus!).
  • Set up and fine-tune machinery, including moulds and tampers.
  • React swiftly to breakdowns on conveyors, vibrators, mixers, hoppers, and hydraulic presses.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Hydraulic expertise is highly desirable.
  • Electrical knowledge would be a great advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
