Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location:Salary:£48,000 Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (No weekends as standard, occasional Saturday overtime at 1.25x rate)

About Us:Talent Guardian are recruiting for our client who is seeking a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. With a mix of older and newer machinery, including Hammac Hansella and Klick Lock machines. The role involves maintaining high production standards while working towards equipment upgrades. This is a stand-alone role reporting to the Managing Director, Finance Manager, and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and PLC faults to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including air pistons and solenoid valves.
  • Conduct mechanical work, including bearings and gearbox maintenance.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Set up and configure new machinery to ensure seamless production.
  • Execute planned and preventative maintenance with detailed job maintenance sheets.
  • Electrical qualification (minimum requirement to be confirmed).
  • Strong experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding, including PLC troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with VFFS bagging machines (total of 12 machines).
  • Ability to manage spare parts and general fabrication maintenance.
  • Extrusion machine experience is beneficial but not essential. Training provided.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
