Acorn by SYNERGIE is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic and highly regulated manufacturing organisation operating in a fast-paced environment.

We're seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to join the site's Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the site's engineering function-driving production performance, overseeing maintenance strategies, and managing CAPEX delivery.

This is a critical leadership role that demands both strategic vision and hands-on expertise. You'll be expected to cut through complexity, provide clarity, and influence across functions, all while developing a robust, cost-effective maintenance strategy designed to meet current demands and future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

* Driving the highest standards of health, safety and quality standards ensuring compliance and legal obligations are met.

* Manage and guide the engineering team to achieve maintenance and CAPEX goals, while supporting other site functions and ensuring compliance with site performance standards.

* Promote continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and consistently meet right-first-time KPIs.

* Manage asset maintenance and development with a strong emphasis on defining and executing preventative maintenance and condition monitoring, ensuring asset availability to meet the production schedule.

* Deploy maintenance strategies and conduct Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA) to establish a focused approach across plant areas, with regular reviews to adapt to evolving business needs..

* Management of minor and maintenance projects liaising closely with stakeholders

* Delivering budget in terms of OPEX and CAPEX, understanding variances and delivery of forecast and LRP process in area of responsibility

* Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to define and oversee organizational processes and improvements, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations, while maintaining a strong succession and training plan.

* Provide mentoring and identify professional development opportunities for the team.

It is essential that the successful candidate is degree qualified in an engineering discipline e.g. Electrical or Mechanical. Have proven senior Engineering Management experience gained in a fast paced, regulated manufacturing environment. Be able to manage significant / transformation projects. Good knowledge and experience of budget preparation and control. Experienced in asset improvement plans and associated capital expenditure proposals.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday (days)
