We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join the Transport Planning team at Widnes.

Reporting to the Transport Planning Team Leader and operating in a competitive market, you will be responsible for planning UK planning volume efficiently and cost effectively to meet KPI and budgetary targets, this will be achieved by using Transport Management System (TMS) to plan transport for all of our operational sites across the UK. The role presents an opportunity to learn all aspects of planning across the UK portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Reviewing systematic plans created in TMS
+ Pre- planning volume where appropriate
+ Closely controlling and monitoring costs and adhering to cost budgets
+ Managing invoices in query, validating costs and approving or declining differences
+ Supporting and helping to implement systematic improvements to improve further the effectiveness of the transport planning
+ Arranging haulage and managing assigned haulers relevant to the operational sites
+ Actively supporting and playing a key role in adopting TMS system across the UK in the most cost efficient and logical manner
