Job Title: Security Officer

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 19:00 - 07:00 - 42 hours per week

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our passionate and driven Security team based at our client’s site in Widnes

You will undertake duties including greeting of visitors and staff. Issuing visitor and staff passes, Gatehouse duties, Carrying out searches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be providing an efficient and effective Security Service, ensuring high standards are delivered and maintained across the site.
  • Managing the access and egress of the site completing logs where required.
  • Regular site patrols, check calls and reporting of incidents.
  • Gatehouse Duties
  • You will have a high standard of professionalism and be extremely security conscious.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the premises during the assigned shifts.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
  • To ensure the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service.
  • To promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directive
  • To maintain logs of messages and arrival of visitors.
  • To adhere to the company’s dress code and wear correct uniform.
  • Carrying out vehicle checks and searches
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
  • To comply with the company’s policies, management plans and procedures.

  • Previous experience in a busy security role
  • Strong people and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • A drive to succeed by working as part of a close-knit team
  • We want to see enthusiasm, a proactive attitude and your ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • You need to be well-presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
  • Must be confident in lone working.
  • A Criminal Record Check, employment history and Right to Work check.
  • SIA LICENSE Is a requirement.
