Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to referrals, conducting robust assessments of children's needs and risks.
- Develop and implement clear and effective plans to ensure children's safety and well-being.
- Work in partnership with families, professionals, and agencies to deliver coordinated support.
- Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and other professional forums.
- Ensure statutory duties are met in line with relevant legislation and policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Proven experience in a Duty & Assessment role or similar, with a strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.
- Skills: Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other statutory guidance.
- Personal Attributes: Resilient, proactive, and passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.
