SEN Teaching Assistant

We have an urgent need for a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to support in a mainstream schools, support base. This is a long term position until July 2025, at least. The role is to support a children with different needs, the children spend time in the base and within the classroom at various stages through the week.

Responsibilities:

* Working with children with a variety of needs.

* Supporting the children in completing day to day tasks around the classroom and with their learning.

* Engaging with the children.

* Promoting positive behaviour.

* Making observations in line with expectations within the school

Requirements

As a successful teaching assistant you will have:

* Experience of working with children in primary school.

* Experience of supporting a class teacher to promote positive behaviour.

* Some knowledge of SEN ideally Speech and Language

* The ability to communicate and work as part of a team within the school.
