Apprentice Progress Coach - Full-Time, Permanent

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality education to learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are working in partnership with a leading college to recruit an Apprentice Progress Coach to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, offering 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, across dual campuses.

Salary - £25,347 - £31,016

Location: Wigan

The Role:

The Apprentice Progress Coach supports apprentices through tailored personal and professional development, helping them succeed both in their roles and studies. The role involves regular progress reviews, close collaboration with employers and Trainer Assessors, and delivery of engaging enrichment activities. Strong communication, organisation, and a learner-focused approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a tailored curriculum to apprentices that covers safeguarding, PSHE, wider skills education, and life topics such as financial literacy, health and wellbeing, and digital skills.

  • Collaborate with Trainer Assessors to conduct regular progress reviews, gather employer feedback, and ensure that all parties benefit from the apprenticeship programme.

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with employers, providing constructive feedback and ensuring consistent, effective communication throughout the apprenticeship journey.

  • Develop and lead enrichment, community outreach, and volunteering initiatives to enhance apprentices' learning experience and support their holistic development.
