Management Accountant

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm - Fully office based

Location: WiganOur client who specialise in manufacturing are seeking a positive and energetic individual to join their friendly, energetic finance team as a Management Accountant. The role will have you take sole responsibility for the smooth operation of our accounts department which is based at their lovely offices in Wigan.

Key responsibilities include preparing budgets and forecasts for departments and the entire organisation, monitoring spending against budgets, and investigating variances. You will collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business strategy, as well as analyse costs related to production, operations, and projects. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and providing actionable recommendations will be a key part of your role.

In addition, you will produce detailed monthly, quarterly, and yearly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You will present financial data to senior management in a clear and actionable format and work closely with non-financial managers to guide financial planning and decision-making. Furthermore, you will be advising on the financial implications of strategic decisions such as new investments or business expansions will also be part of your remit, as well as contributing to long-term business strategies by analysing financial implications.

You will be involved in creating performance reports and identifying areas for business improvement, and taking on any other ad hoc tasks in support of the Director's. You will also work with other departments to implement productivity improvements and drive the digitisation of processes to remove paper transactions.

Experience:- Previous experience as a Management Accountant is essential - Proficient using Excel and Sage 200 - ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified or part qualified- Full UK driving license About you:
