Opportunity

My client is looking for a Payroll Specialist, with in depth knowledge of the full range of tasks required to process a monthly payroll and up to date knowledge of legislative changes, statutory regulations and Pension compliance. The candidate will take full ownership of the monthly Payroll process for 270 employees (planned increased excessive of 300 in upcoming 12 months) using the data received from the time and attendance system.

Role

  • Processing monthly adjustments, i.e., overtime, absence, holidays using Sage 50 payroll
  • Setting up new starters and processing leavers
  • Processing commissions and bonus' once approved
  • Calculation of Holiday premiums each month
  • Running reports to check accuracy prior to sending payslips
  • Dealing with any queries returned from payslips
  • Uploading pension contributions to various pension providers
  • Maintaining accurate pension records; managing postponement period, sending out relevant documents to new starters
  • Monthly payroll checks, NMW compliance, etc
  • Submission of month end reports; FPS, EPS & PAYE
  • Updating P11d with relevant information
  • Submission of P11d, P11d(b) and payment request
  • Management of payroll year end

Requirements

  • 5+ Years Experience with full end-to-end Payroll processing in complex business
  • Experience using Sage 50 highly desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Self-confident and professional
  • An up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and statutory regulations
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn new tasks and assist the wider finance function
  • Strong Excel skills
