M&E Design Engineer (Building Services)

Wigan – Monday – Friday (office based)

Our client is seeking a M&E Design Engineer with a strong focus on electrical design for building services. They are a medium sized business who take in delivering high end projects to their clients across a wide range of sectors across the UK.

Joining a team led by experienced engineers with deep expertise across all core sectors of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Services (MEP) industry, both within the UK and internationally combine innovative design with practical solutions, ensuring that each project is tailored to meet

the specific client' needs.

  • Assist the MEP team in providing day-to-day technical delivery of the mechanical / electrical de[1]sign services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors
  • Responsible for a small number of smaller projects, increasing with experience and growth
  • Produce design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and schedules
  • Work closely with MEP team in carrying our client meetings, site surveys and project progress meetings

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in UK Building Services
  • Able to work autonomously and as a team with good technical knowledge Mechanical/Electrical
  • Building Services design (strong electrical focus)
  • Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services qualification at HNC, HND or working towards a degree
  • Knowledge of BIM processes, Revit, AutoCAD and Amtech and demonstrable experience is an advantage
  • Design experience - Proven experience working as a Mechanical / Electrical Engineer within the building services sector for a year or more
  • Practical experience - If you have practical site experience (4 years or more) and are looking to
  • progress into a design field, this would be a great advantage to our team.
  • Full UK driving license and own car as some site visits will be required
