This a rare and exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join one of the country's leading facades contractors working alongside reputable blue clients on high-value exciting projects around the North West.
One offer is the chance for a Design Manager, with facades experience, to join an expanding contractor who is thriving in the current market due to their long-term relationships with clients providing high-quality faade design and installation services.
This reputable facade Contractor specialises in the Design and installation of externals won high-end commercial projects valuing up to from 500k to 5 million. Due to their technical excellence and service levels, this company have achieved sustainable growth year on year and is currently going through a phase of expansion and in turn is looking for a motivated Design Manager to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Design Manager to join a progressive role within a well-established company who knows the employees are at the heart of the business and therefore have an emphasis on personal development.
Getting involved from the project win stage you will be responsible for overseeing the design of projects through to the completion stage. You will be responsible for the entire design department, leading and growing a small team, and working with external suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have Design Management experience within facades, have experience using AutoCAD and can manage programmes and budgets. You will be looking to take on a leading position on a variety of projects with progression opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Designer looking for a leadership role within a reputable regional contractor.
The Role:
- Design Management of Facades Projects
- Lead design team meetings
- Ensuring projects are to Programmes and within budgets
- Conduct quality checks on projects
- Working on projects from concept through to completion
The Person
- Design Management experience within an externals construction company
- Experience with overseeing project programmes and budgets
- Technical knowledge and experience
- Commutable distance from Wigan & happy to be office-based
