School Caretaker Wanted in St Helen's. Full Time, for 4 weeks, this could be extended for the right candidate.

Are you a skilled and dedicated individual with a passion for maintaining a safe and welcoming educational environment? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic School Caretaker to join a school. If you are ready to take on an exciting part-time role, appoximently 6 hrs per day 3hrs from 7am-10am & then 3pm - 6pm, then this opportunity is perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Undertake general maintenance tasks such as repairing equipment, fixtures, and fittings to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Manage security systems and ensure they are functioning correctly, including monitoring CCTV cameras, and performing lock-up procedures.

Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening, landscaping, and snow removal.

Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role with Key holding responsibilities

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.

A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently.

Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
