People Partner Up to £40,000 plus discretionary annual bonus Full time - On-site Based at Head Office in Wigan with regular travel to further UK sitesMedlock Partners are proud to be partnering exclusively with a highly reputable and successful nationwide manufacturing business in identifying an experienced Senior HR Advisor looking for that next step within their HR career.Working in partnership with a second Regional People Partner and reporting directly into the Head of People, you will lead on a wide range of Employee Relations casework, including disciplinary, capability, grievances, performance management and attendance & time keeping.Using your experience gained to date of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, you will help coach and develop a range of Operational Managers in order to help achieve strategic business goals and objectives.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-standing family run business built on tradition, passion, skill, and creativity. A business which is focused on driving long-term sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities of the People Partner:

  • Act as trusted advisor to people managers providing advice, guidance and support on all HR and people related matters.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures and applying them fairly and consistently across the business.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders across the business in person at all depots within your remit.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices in partnership with the People Operations Partner.
  • Providing support and guidance to people managers with employee relation matters.
  • Monitor employee absence and highlight cases to managers as appropriate, providing support and guidance to ensure absence is properly managed.
  • Providing support and advice in accordance with legal and best practice requirements whilst being commercially aware of business needs.
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of current HR legislative requirements as well as any proposed or future changes that may affect the Company.
  • Developing and delivering HR related training courses alongside the Learning & Development Team.
  • Be an ambassador of the company’s People Strategy and a driver of change.

Key requirements for the People Partner:

  • You will be an experienced HR Generalist currently working as either People Partner, Senior HR Advisor or HR Advisor, ideally working across multiple sites.
  • You will have gained exceptional stakeholder relationships skills and pride yourself on effectively working with a wide range of Operational Managers.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or on the journey to becoming fully qualified.
  • You will have strong current knowledge of employment law and legislation and how to apply this in a commercial setting.
  • You will be a strong team player who is also highly capable and confident of working independently.
  • Ideally you will have gained experience working within a similar manufacturing, engineering or construction business, however, this is not essential to be considered for this role.
  • Due to the fact this is a regional role, it is essential that you are a car driver and owner.
