It works closely with local employers to ensure that students develop the skills and knowledge needed for in-demand careers, with a strong emphasis on innovation and practical experience. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to provide maternity cover. This part-time role will be responsible for managing the marketing, communications, and outreach activities for the College, working closely with educational and employer partners to drive student recruitment and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and implement our marketing strategy to promote technical education and training across Greater Manchester.
- Manage our brand, focusing on key sectors including health, public service and care, engineering and manufacturing, construction and the built environment, and information and communication technology.
- Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to increase the number of people gaining STEM qualifications at Level 4 and above through the IoT.
- Promote the benefits of higher technical qualifications to key stakeholders and target audiences.
- Increase participation from underrepresented groups in Level 4+ education and training.
- Improve learner competency in line with employer needs and create clear progression routes from Level 3 to Level 6 and beyond.
* Provide regular updates to the our Marketing Group on activity, deliverables, and impact.
- Work with educational and employer partners to create engaging digital and print marketing materials.
- Manage content creation for social media platforms, working with an external agency to maximise reach and engagement.
- Maintain and update our website with relevant and insightful content to improve SEO and user engagement.
- Organise and deliver events across Greater Manchester to promote us and our programmes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements to maximise impact within budget constraints.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and manage our public relations activity.
- Manage the annual marketing budget and report on return on investment.
- Work closely with our Outreach Officer to ensure targeted outreach is delivered effectively across the region.
- Collaborate with partners such as GM Higher to raise awareness of Level 4+ technical education among young people, parents, teachers, and career professionals.
- Deliver presentations to young people, parents, teachers, and key influencers to promote us and our offerings.
- Ensure compliance with the College's Health & Safety, Sustainable Development, Safeguarding, and Equality and Diversity policies.
- Proven experience in a marketing role, ideally within the education or skills sector.
- Degree in Business or Marketing (or equivalent professional qualification such as CIM).
- Strong knowledge of technical and higher education.
- Experience in project management and delivering complex campaigns.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with both young people and adults.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to create compelling content for digital and print platforms.
- Experience in managing social media and website content.
- Creative and innovative approach to designing marketing campaigns and resources.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed to fulfil the role's duties.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with partners and stakeholders.
