We are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Assistants in Wigan with availability from Monday to Friday for ad-hoc roles starting in September. You can earn a competitive rate of £13-£14 per hour while having the freedom to choose your workdays.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their growth through fun and educational activities. If you hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education, possess an NVQ or CACHE certificate, and have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant:

  • Assisting teachers with lessons and managing classroom behavior.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.

  • Communicating effectively with children, staff, parents, and carers when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children (must provide two professional references for recent work).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Genuine passion for working with children.
  • Patience and sensitivity in dealing with young children.
  • CACHE L2/L3 or direct nursery experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of EYFS.
