Your new companyYour new company is a world leading multidisciplinary consultancy with over 12,000 employees globally, focusing on delivering sustainable solutions across the engineering and environmental science sectors. They have a specialised design team based in Wigan that you will be joining with 10 technical staff, focusing on delivering sustainable infrastructure design solutions to their developer and commercial clients.Your new roleYou will be joining your new company as a Graduate/Assistant or Project Civil Infrastructure Engineer contributing to the conceptual and detailed design of the projects you're involved with. Drainage and highway infrastructure in and around housing developments often exceeding 400 units make up the majority of your workflow and in addition, your team design commercial infrastructure in and around these developments that might include car parks, extra care homes and restaurants. You will be using a combination of AutoCAD, PDS and Microdrainage to model and engineer solutions, with training provided where necessary.Further to design, project management where necessary, client management and the checking and supervision of technicians' drawings will be important elements of your role.What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed you will require a minimum of a BEng in Civil Engineering and at least 12 months UK design experience on relevant infrastructure projects. You will also need AutoCAD experience, and ideally have experience using Civil3d/PDS and Microdrainage/Causeway.Furthermore, a 'can-do-attitude' and enthusiasm about further professional development of both your soft and technical skills is highly desirable.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive a competitive annual salary in line with your level of experience, up to £42,500.
