Freelance Contracts Manager - New Build NHS and Education Framework

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to join a dynamic team working on an exciting new build NHS framework in and around Wigan. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the management and delivery of high-profile healthcare projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the administration and management of contracts, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering these essential healthcare facilities for the NHS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the entire contract lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Administer contracts to ensure all terms and conditions are met.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, reports, and correspondence are accurately maintained.
  • Address and resolve any contractual disputes or issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, ideally within the construction or healthcare sector.
  • Previous experience working on NHS or public sector projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and project management processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Site-based experience and the ability to travel to project sites within the Wigan area.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
