Overview: We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience as you complete a Data Analyst - Level 4 Apprenticeship. 

Salary: £22,000 per annum.

The role / Duties: 

  • You will work with our experienced team to provide day-to-day analysis support to our commercial and operational teams.
  • The analysis you produce will be used by the business teams to support decision making, drive change and assess performance. 

As part of your role you will have the opportunity to complete the Data Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in PowerBI, SQL Server, SSIS, Python, R programming languages and cloud technologies and apply these in real life scenarios through your day-to-day role.

What you’ll need:We are looking for candidates with a passion for data and are looking to start a career in the data industry.

Other key skills and experience we are looking for candidates to be able to demonstrate include:

  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of numerical analytical thinking skills
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
  • Experience working with BI tools and writing SQL would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proven experience working with customers or stakeholders and building positive working relationships
  • Confident with problem solving under pressure with the ability to prioritise
  • An interest or experience in horse racing and sports betting is not essential but would be advantageous

Entry requirements: Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)Plus:
  • 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above 
  • Experience with using Excel (in particular pivot tables and XLookup) and Microsoft products (or similar)
