Your new companyHays Education are currently looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis at a fantastic school in the Wigan area. This is a primary school we have worked with for many years and this school receives excellent feedback from every staff member we have placed there. It is easily accessible via main roads and public transport and is a popular school within the community. This is a two-form entry Primary School with a nursery, and has a school team that is dedicated to ensuring all children are happy, content, hardworking and successful. The role will start as soon as possible, until the end of the academic year. Your new roleIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting on a 1:1 basis with a child in Y1. You will need to support with additional learning such as literacy, mathematics, phonics as well as reading. There may also be elements of general teaching assistant tasks, but the majority of your time will focus on supporting on a 1:1 basis to keep the child on track with their learning and offering any additional support they may need. This role will be an immediate start and continue through until the end of the academic year, so you should be willing to commit fully to the length of the role. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as the school are willing to wait until after the Easter break for the right candidate.
