KS2 Teaching Assistant

Your new companyWe are currently working with a primary school in the Wigan area who are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic primary school that creates an environment in which all children can thrive and achieve their potential. This is a long-term role which will start on a temporary basis but could turn permanent for the right candidate.Your new roleIn this role as Teaching Assistant, you will be working Monday - Friday and will be responsible for helping pupils across KS2 in both group and 1:1 settings. You will be expected to help pupils to make sure they understand their work and stay focused. You may need to provide additional intervention sessions for reading, spelling or maths. It is important you work closely with the class teacher so you can provide the correct support for the children. Depending on the needs of the school, you may be asked to move around classes within KS2, so you will need to be flexible and approachable.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
