Your new companyHays are currently working with a primary school in the Wigan area to help them secure a Teaching Assistant to start immediately within their Reception class. This school's aim is to ensure that every child can thrive personally and academically. The school is easily accessible via various transport links and major roads. They are a welcoming school with a friendly staff cohort. Your new roleYou will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Reception class, supporting the class teacher. You will need to work on a 1:1 and group basis, providing additional support to children through intervention sessions including reading, writing and phonics. You may need to support children with SEN depending on the timetable and the needs of the class. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying as we are always receiving new roles.
