Your new companyThis Wigan primary school is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This school is highly regarded for its desire to help children achieve their best and its staff's commitment to learning and development. You will be working in a team alongside other Teaching Assistants and like-minded individuals set on getting the best they can for these young people. Your new roleThis job role will be within Reception or Y2 depending on experience. However, it could include swapping between classes, where necessary and when needed in certain situations. You will be completing a lot of play-based activities to help children with their learning and development, as well as assisting each class's teacher with setting up classrooms and different activities. You will need to be strong-willed and open to all routes in this role, as well as be a hard-working individual.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience within a classroom environment within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Experience supporting disruptive/challenging behaviours
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • An NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
