Your new companyHays education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant job at a primary school in the Wigan area with a January start until Easter, working 5 days a week in Y1. This school has an excellent reputation within the local community, they provide an excellent and enriching education in a safe and nurturing environment.Your new roleThis job will see you working within Y1 providing general support to the class as well as assisting the class teacher. This role is crucial in helping EYFS pupils develop their learning. You may be required to work with separate groups or work on a 1:1 basis with children that may be struggling. You may need to provide additional support in phonics, reading and writing. You should be confident in working with various ability pupils and immersing yourself in daily activities. EYFS experience is a requirement for this job role.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
