This Environmental Specialist position is with a globally leading chemical manufacturing company specialising in the manufacture of bespoke resins. The main purpose of the Environmental Specialist is to ensure compliance with government and legal regulations.

Taking this opportunity as Environmental Specialist would mean working for a leading global producer of chemical products. This is a key manufacturing company relied on by many industries and this Environmental Specialist role is critical to the ongoing operation.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Specialist;

  • Identify new business opportunities to improve the Env management system.
  • Manage Env management program and the Env management system.
  • Provide guidance and support on Env legislation and internal standards.
  • Manage waste minimisation plan for both sites.
  • Responsible for ISO14001 Env management system.
  • Lead auditor and contributor to the site wide process and management system audit plan, including ISO45001 and 9001.
  • Engaging in a professional development programme to support with progression through the company.

To be successful in this position as Environmental Specialist, a degree within a relevant sector discipline, such as Env Management or Chemical Engineering is required. The candidate will require experience working within a similar sector, such as chemicals, petrochemicals or oil and gas. Auditing experience to ISO45001 is needed.
