ASC Teaching Assistant - Wigan:
Prospero Teaching are looking for a Level 2 qualified teaching assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with ASC on a 1-2-1 basis, at a mainstream school near Wigan. To be successful in this role, you must be committed to working Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1-2-1 support
- Providing personal care, including nappy changes
- Supervising and redirecting to encourage positive behaviour
- Providing sensory-friendly activities
- Building rapport with pupils, parents and staff
Key Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher is essential
- Up to date Safeguarding certificate in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
- Good general curriciulum knowledge
Position Details:
- Location: Wigan
- Job Role: 1-1 SEN teaching assistant
- Minimum rate of pay: 100 per day, dependant on experience
- Hours: 8am-4pm
- Type of work: Full time
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing
- Type of Work: Temporary
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
