Network Engineer - Cisco Meraki - onsite Wigan - £40,000 - £42.000
My network solutions client is experiencing continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of our networks, both internally and for our clients, including major worldwide.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in IP networks, routing protocols, and hands-on network implementation. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and deploy network solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert consultation on B2B network links. Support and enhance the network infrastructure, with a particular focus on Meraki technology.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Networking engineering experience and hold current CCNA certification
- CCNP would be highly desirable
- Extensive experience with Meraki networks is essential.
- Firewall knowledge.
- Good understanding of IPSec and multi-site VPN configuration/setup.
- Strong understanding of IP schemes within complex environments.
- Wi-Fi expertise.
- Proficient user of Microsoft tools.
- Competent at researching and presenting technical options and solutions.
- Uses strong experience of WAN/LAN environments to lead on network design.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across various stakeholder groups, influence decisions.
- SD-WAN knowledge
- Understanding of PCI DSS would be welcome.
**Occasional out-of-hours work is required for network changes**
