LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR

WIGAN

£25K+ DOE

FULL TIME

We are recruiting for this renowned, specialist company in the Wigan area who are looking for a confident, friendly team player with strong computer skills and a good working knowledge of Sage, Excel and Word to join their growing facility in Wigan.

As the Logistics Administrator you will be responsible for stock management, coordination of picking, packing and shipping of goods, and manual handling.  You will be computer savvy, professional and quick-thinking with good problem soling ability.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate stock levels using bonded warehouse and stock computer systems
  • Ensure goods received from suppliers are checked against paperwork, labelled correctly, and placed in designated stock locations
  • Participate in regular stock takes
  • Investigate stock anomalies and discrepancies, reporting findings to management
  • Booking in products for repairs
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Good (Sea, Air, Road)
  • Arrange the picking, packing and shipment of goods from the warehouse to UK and worldwide destinations
  • Pack products suitably for shipping using DHL, FedEx, Parcel Force, DPD, UPS, Royal Mail and arrange collection and deliveries with couriers
  • Ensure correct goods are picked and dispatched to the appropriate customers while complying with legal requirements
  • Attention to detail to make sure goods are picked and dispatched to the correct customers
  • Ensuring goods booked in/ sent with the correct paperwork and labelled
  • Liaise closely with the sales team to ensure that order forms/invoices are being fulfilled

Skills and Experience:

  • Manual Handling; Ability to handle and move goods manually while following manual handling training
  • Warehouse Machinery Experience using Forklift Trucks (FLT), and other warehouse machinery (Desirable, but not essential)
  • IT Skills - Good IT skills: training will be provided on in house systems
  • Team Player
