Data Analyst required to work for a fast growing and exciting company based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. This is an office based role.

Our client, Established in 2001, they work with both private clients and the public sector to locate missing Next of Kin and beneficiaries to an estate. They are now one of the country’s largest genealogists/heir hunter firms and due to substantial organic growth, are looking to recruit a Data Analyst.

Role summary

We are looking for someone to identify emerging market, competitor, and client behavioural trends, assess their relevance to our business, and leverage data to forecast their potential impact. Your key responsibilities will include data analytics, data cleansing, and lead evaluation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Sales teams to generate actionable insights, enhance reporting, and contribute to our analytical and growth initiatives. If you are ready to make a significant impact and grow with us, we would love to hear from you!

Day to day tasks:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights across multiple platforms. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decisions
  • Responsible for building a new cross asset quantitative analytics library
  • Be comfortable communicating with the wider team, to effect better working practices to increase revenue and growth.
  • Data cleanse all systems to ensure an accurate database is up to date at all times for Marketing purposes.
  • Work to deadlines prioritising workload accordingly.
  • To undertake any ad hoc duties for the MD, Heads of Department, or the Marketing team.
  • Research and retrieve data from a number of external sources.
  • Use findings to input and cleanse data using Salesforce and internal CRM system.
  • Report data findings in a clear and informative way to both internal and external parties.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Proven experience in market analysis, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using forecasting models and data analytics tools
  • Ability to undertake desk research, manage external research suppliers and interpret/report on findings. Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business recommendations.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including collaboration with cross-functional teams and presenting complex concepts to senior leadership.
  • Experience using CRM systems or business intelligence tools and Salesforce
