A Maintenance Engineer is required for a prominent player in the industrial / manufacturing sector. This role is to ensure the safe continuous production of the plant by swiftly responding to any equipment failures and to implement an effective preventative maintenance programme.

Description

Inspect, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment (steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, agitators)
Maintenance and repairs of electrical plant equipment where necessary
Identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Work with the engineering team to improve equipment efficiency and reliability
Provide technical support to the production team
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Document maintenance and repair work
Respond to emergency breakdowns as required

Profile

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

ONC or Equivalent (C&G L3) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
Electrical Qualification
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial / manufacturing industry
Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing equipment
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
