The RoleWe are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing company based at their Wigan site. You will be tasked with all maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant machinery, in a small team you will be working on reactive maintenance primarily in the electrical department while also carrying out planned tasks,Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining plant, equipment, and utilities throughout the site.
  • Utilising initiative to rectify problems.
  • Routine PPM work.
  • Reactive and planned tasks
  • Utilising CMMS (SAP)
  • Observing Health & Safety of themselves & colleagues is a must.
  • Continuous improvement work.
  • Responding to production breakdown issues and providing technical support
  • Maintain plant processes such as keep up to date with technical advancements.
  • Be the AP (Authorised Person) or for emergencies, including High Voltage for electrical technicians.

The Successful Engineer

  • Ability to read electrical drawings & schematics
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified/ apprentice trained
  • Experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens
  • Electrical experience within a manufacturing environment
  • High voltage qualifications are desirable
