Service / Repair Engineer required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of automated machinery based in the Wigan area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Service / Repair Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault-finding, testing and repair of machinery, alongside wiring control panels & electrical schematic design.
Service / Repair Engineer Job Overview
- Fault-finding, testing and repairing automated machinery
- Assisting with electrical wiring of PLC's and control panels
- Travelling to customer sites to carry out service / maintenance
- Providing remote and onsite technical support to customers
- Assisting other departments as required as part of a small team
- Utilising CAD software to produce electrical schematic drawings
- Reading electrical schematic drawings
Service / Repair Engineer Job Requirements
- Qualifications / apprenticeship with mechanical or electrical engineering
- Previous hands-on experience in the build, maintenance of service of machinery
- Full UK Driving License
- Good communication skills
- Experience with electrical schematic drawings, ability to use CAD is an advantage
- Experience with wiring PLC's is desirable
- Based in a commutable of Wigan
Service / Repair Engineer Salary & Benefits
- Salary 28,000 - 35,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00. Friday 08:30 - 14:30.
- Holiday allowance and pension
