A well established and expanding Contractor are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity to join a reputable, award winning contractor whose staff share the same ethos of working together to achieve great results.

As a result of internal promotion due to growth, they have a vacancy for an Operations Manager to manage the operations of highly successful divisions within the business, which involve delivering M&E, Plumbing & Heating and Renewables services to various sectors including Social Housing Refurbishment, New Build Private Homes, Public Sector (NHS, Education, Local Authority) and Commercial.


Reporting to the Directors of the business, you will be responsible for dealing with contracts at a high level. Duties will include:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the business, but also manage best practice.
  • Managing a team which consists of 5 Contracts Managers and their subsequent reports
  • Delivering successful presentations to Clients
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health and safety
  • Financial Reporting


The successful candidate must be personable, approachable and be able to demonstrate strong leadership, commercial and people management skills.

  • You must have a strong construction background, ideally with Housing.
  • A background within M&E/Plumbing & Heating would be highly advantageous
  • IOSH, NEBOSH tickets are ideal but not essential

This position is based within the company's Head Offices in Greater Manchester, and will require some site travel across the North West.
