Freelance Site Manager - Industrial Refurb and Remedial works 
Location - Wigan 
Start date - 10th March
Duration - 20 weeks 
Rate - Negotiable/day depending on experience 

My client are a specialist refurbishment contractor in the commercial sector and they have build a solid reputation in the industry. They have a number of long lasting blue chip clients and produce high quality projects across the UK.

About the role 

The job is a 20 week contract on days overseeing contractors on site that will be working on remedial works due to fire damage, the project will have a full re roof and cladding replacement. there will also be some internal decoration and intumescent painting. This will also be a live enviroment so strong communication skills will be impreitave on this job. My client have a very strong pipeline of work and there is an opportunity for on going freelance work. 

Day to day duties 

  • Liaising with Project Manager 
  • Driving a consistent & proactive approach to health & safety on site
  • Manage hazards & risks
  • Ensure all contractors & visitors are thoroughly inducted onto sites
  • Monitor progress of project programme, minimising risks and making sure milestones are being hit
  • Building an understanding of the project budgets to drive efficiencies
  • Oversee contractor performance

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid 
  • Asbestos Awareness 
  • Fire Marshal
