The major responsibilities of the role include:
Conduct, review, and document sitesurveys
Install, test, maintain and repair equipment andsystems
Solve problems, assess situations, and apply solutions utilizing acquired voice and data knowledge and experience
Configure and prebuild voice and data solutions prior to installation at the customers premises
Accurate and timely creation of projectdocumentation
Responding to emergency calls, providing out of hours support both on site and remotely to customers
Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with those contacted during the course of work
Provide training, coaching and professional development to junior members of the team in order to enhance their knowledge and skill.
Complete required training for the post and strive to meet developmentobjectives
Perform any other or additional duties as dictated by the needs of thebusiness
Key requirements of the role:
Needs to have an in-depth knowledge of how telecommunication equipment and services work, and be equipped to handle disruptions of service and establish solutions to deal with challenges as they arise in the field.
Competent in all aspects of associated cablingworks
Must be able to carry out work with an understanding of circuitry, installation, government compliance and in accordance with the relevant safe working practices and risk assessment.
Must be able to maintain any technical or professional qualifications required for the post.
Due to the nature of this job there is extensive travel both Nationally and Internationally successfully candidates must have a valid passport and be able travel extensively.
