Early Intervention Integrated Service

Full Time Locum Contract

Located in Wigan

Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their service in Wigan for a locum contract.

The service responds to both children and adults who require assessment and intervention to support optimum health and wellbeing within the home environment and the community.

Adult cases: you will provide highly specialised assessment, treatment and management of adults who present with physical, learning or mental health needs that impact on their ability to manage within their home environment.

Paediatric cases: you will provide highly specialised assessment, treatment and management of babies, children and adolescents who present with diverse and complex physical, developmental and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and recommend equipment and adaptations and Assistive Technology solutions.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive and contemporaneous documentation, in line with legal and service requirements.
  • Discharge cases appropriately, agreeing a point of closure with the parents and child and informing other professionals as required.
  • provide a specialist response in complex cases, formulating and implementing intervention plans aimed at reducing the impact of disability

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience assessing for both children and adults.
