Sonic Summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time position in a school near Wigan, starting December 2024.
The role involves covering core and foundation subjects while teachers are on PPA, with working hours from 8am to 3:30pm.
Candidates must have excellent knowledge of the curriculum, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is highly desirable.
The minimum pay rate for this position is £125 per day, depending on experience, and candidates should have relevant experience in a similar role.
Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK and possess an enhanced DBS certificate, or be willing to apply for one.

HLTA - Wigan:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a HLTA to work in a lovely school near to Wigan, covering the teacher while they are on PPA. You will need excellent curriculum knowledge of both core and foundation subjects.

Hours: 8am-3:30pm
Minimum rate of pay: £125 per day, depending on experience

Full time/part time: Full time only
Start date: December 2024
End date: Ongoing

Role Responsibilities:

Covering both core and foundation subjects while teachers are on PPA
Building rapport with parents and other staff members
Communicating with staff members to track progress

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
