About the Role: Randstad is seeking a qualified PPA Cover Teacher to work in a primary school in Abram, Wigan. This position requires an adaptable and motivated educator to cover various classes while the regular class teachers utilise their Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time. The role offers a great opportunity to work in a supportive school environment and gain experience across multiple year groups.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across different year groups.

• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles.

• Follow lesson plans provided by class teachers and ensure continuity of learning.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Build strong relationships with staff and students.

• Provide feedback to class teachers after cover lessons.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching across different primary year groups.

• Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.

• Excellent classroom management and adaptability.

• Two professional references from the last five years (one must be a child-based safeguarding reference).

Desired:

• DBS on the update service (we can assist with applications if needed).
