Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. The school is looking to take on a permanent SEND Humanities  Teacher from September on a full-time basis. The successful SEND Humanities Teacher will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 11– 16yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Social and Emotional Mental Health / SEMH   Attention Deficit Disorder / ADD or Behaviour challenges.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

-          QTS with an Humanities  Specialism

-          Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically SEMH, ADD and challenging Behaviour

-          Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
