Year 5 Teacher - Wigan:
Prospero Teaching are looking for a QTS teacher to teach a Year 5 class at a school near to Wigan. This is a full time position to start in January.
You must have excellent curriculum knowledge of both core and foundation subjects as well as effective behaviour management techniques.
The Role:
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Effectively managing behaviour
- Communicating regularly with teaching assistants and parents to monitor progress
Position Details:
- Location: Wigan

- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: 130 per day, depending on experience
- Hours: 8:45am-3pm
- Start date: Jan 2025
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Qualified teacher status is essential
- Previous experience of teaching KS2 is essential
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Team Teach Training would be highly desired
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
